| Abstract : Radiation from a single full-body CT examination corresponds to a dose comparable with a level of radiation linked to increased cancer mortality in low-dose atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in Japan. Full-body CT scans deliver a dose of radiation nearly 100 times that of a typical mammogram. |

| Abstract : Earlier this month, I traveled to Monroe, La., to bury my dear older brother, Charles. Charles was not only a wonderful brother, but he was a man with a heart of gold who always put the needs of others and his family before his own. Charles, unfortunately, began smoking when he was in law school, something I warned him about repeatedly. |

| Abstract : All this spurs me to discuss the failure, or otherwise, of medicine in such leading areas as cancer, heart attack, hypertension, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, peptic ulcers. First let's go back to a very important book from the Rockefeller Foundation in 1977 called 'Doing better and feeling worse, Health in the United States'. Now, who is "Doing Better"? Until the '60s, the United States used to spend about 8 billion dollars a year on health. Now it is spending billions of dollars a day. Moral of the story: doctors, hospitals and manufacturers are having a gala time! And who is "Feeling worse"? Obviously the patient! |

In the same year, Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, lambasted the industry for becoming “primarily a marketing machine” and co-opting “every institution that might stand in its way” |

| Abstract : Medicine has taken on a saving, or messianic role, the characteristics of which we must examine. Looking back through history, there is a sense in which medicine can be said to have displayed characteristics that have at various times characterised the Roman Catholic Church: autocracy, centralization, the control and manipulation of people, censorship, propaganda, total obedience, infallibility, the destruction of heretics, the stamping out of individuality. All this, of course, has been done in the name of public health and the general good, just as the church acted for mankind’s salvation. |

| Author : Patricia Norris |

| Website : http://www.healthy.net/scr/Article.asp?Id=412 |
| Abstract : Is there such a thing as a cancer personality? Is there a cluster of cancer personalities for different types of cancer? … retrospective studies and observations, confirm a predisposing set of personality factors, attitudes, and beliefs. For a cancer patient, there is a triple stress to deal with. There is the stress which predated the cancer and which seems always to have been present prior to diagnosis. There is the stress of having cancer and dealing with the threat to self-identify and personal security. And there is the stress of a treatment that can be uncomfortable, frightening, and depleting. Fortunately, humans are learners. We can change how we perceive stress and how our bodies respond to the stressors in our lives. |

| Title : SPIRITUAL: Visual Evidence of the Power of Prayer, Gratitude and Appreciation |
| Website : http://www.mercola.com/display/router.aspx?docid=26359 |
| Abstract : Through repeatable experiments Dr. Emoto demonstrated that human thoughts and emotions can alter the molecular structure of water. Now, for the first time, there is physical evidence that the power of our thoughts can change the world within and around us. Water that was imprinted by love, gratitude, and appreciation, responded by the development of complex beauty, and water that was mistreated by negative intentions became disordered and lost its magnificent patterning. |
